a) Use of Cookies and Web Bugs on ADRIER’s website
The ADRIER website uses Cookies, and other similar mechanisms (hereinafter Cookies).
Cookies are files sent to a browser by a web server to record the User’s activities on a specific website or on all the websites, apps and/or services of the ADRIER website (hereinafter, the Services). The primary purpose of Cookies is to provide the User with faster access to the selected Services. In addition, Cookies personalise the Services offered by ADRIER, providing and offering each User information that is of interest to them or that may be of interest to them, based on their use of the Services.
The ADRIER website uses Cookies to personalise and facilitate the User’s browsing as much as possible. Cookies are only associated with an anonymous User and his or her computer and do not provide references that allow the User’s personal data to be deduced. The User may configure their browser to notify and reject the installation of Cookies sent by the ADRIER website, without this affecting the User’s ability to access the Contents. However, we would like to point out that, in any case, the quality of the functioning of the Website may be reduced.
Registered Users who register or who have logged in may benefit from more personalised services tailored to their profile, thanks to the combination of the data stored in the cookies with the personal data used at the time of their registration. These Users expressly authorise the use of this information for the aforementioned purpose, without prejudice to their right to reject or disable the use of cookies.
Likewise, the ADRIER website will be able to know all the ADRIER Services requested by Users, so that they can provide or offer information appropriate to the tastes and preferences of each User.
The ADRIER website also uses Web Bugs, which are tiny, transparent images inserted in emails. When the User opens the e-mail, this image is downloaded along with the rest of the e-mail’s content and makes it possible to know whether a specific e-mail has been opened or not, as well as the IP address from which it was downloaded. The ADRIER website uses this information to obtain statistics and to carry out analytical studies on the reception of its emails by Users.
b) Types, purpose and operation of Cookies
Cookies, depending on their permanence, can be divided into session or permanent Cookies. The former expire when the User closes the browser. The latter expire when the purpose for which they are used is fulfilled (for example, so that the User remains identified in the ADRIER Services) or when they are manually deleted.
Additionally, depending on their purpose, Cookies can be classified as follows:
PERFORMANCE COOKIES: This type of Cookie remembers your preferences for the tools found in the Services, so you do not have to reconfigure the service each time you visit. By way of example, this type includes:
Volume settings for video or audio players.
Video streaming speeds that are compatible with your browser.
Items saved in the “shopping cart” on E-commerce Services such as shops.
GEO-LOCATION: These Cookies are used to find out what country you are in when you request a Service. This Cookie is completely anonymous, and is only used to help target content to your location.
REGISTRATION COOKIES: Registration Cookies are generated once the User has registered or subsequently logged in, and are used to identify you on the Services for the following purposes:
To keep the User identified so that, if he/she closes a Service, the browser or the computer and at another time or another day re-enters said Service, he/she will continue to be identified, thus facilitating his/her browsing without having to identify him/herself again. This functionality can be deleted if the User clicks on the logout functionality, so that this Cookie is deleted and the next time the User enters the Service he/she will have to log in to be identified.
Check whether the User is authorised to access certain Services, for example, to participate in a competition.
Additionally, some Services may use connectors with social networks such as Facebook or Twitter. When the User registers for a Service with credentials from a social network, he/she authorises the social network to store a persistent Cookie that remembers his/her identity and grants him/her access to the Services until it expires. The User can delete this Cookie and revoke access to the Services via social networks by updating their preferences on the specific social network.
ANALYTICS COOKIES: Each time a User visits a Service, a tool from an external provider (Google and similar that may be added to this list in the event that they vary in relation to the current ones) generates an analytics Cookie on the User’s computer. This Cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will be used during future visits to the ADRIER Services to anonymously identify the visitor. The main objectives pursued are:
To allow the anonymous identification of browsing Users through the Cookie (it identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore the approximate counting of the number of visitors and their trend over time.
Identify anonymously the most visited contents and therefore the most attractive to Users.
To know whether the User who is accessing the site is new or a repeat visitor.
Important: Unless the User decides to register for an ADRIER Service, the Cookie will never be associated with any personal data that could identify him/her. These Cookies will only be used for statistical purposes to help optimise the User’s experience on the site.
ADVERTISING COOKIES: This type of Cookies allow the information of the advertisements shown to each anonymous User in the ADRIER Services to be extended. Among others, they store the duration or frequency of viewing advertising positions, the interaction with them, or the User’s browsing patterns and/or behaviour, as they help to create a profile of advertising interest. In this way, they make it possible to offer advertising related to the User’s interests.
THIRD PARTY ADVERTISING COOKIES: In addition to the advertising managed by the ADRIER website in its Services, the ADRIER website offers advertisers the option of serving advertisements through third parties (Ad-Servers). In this way, these third parties can store Cookies sent from the ADRIER Services from the Users’ browsers, as well as access the data stored in them.
The companies that generate these Cookies have their own privacy policies. At present, the ADRIER website uses the Doubleclick platform (Google) to manage these services. For more information, go to https://www.google.es/policies/technologies/ads/.
c) How to disable Cookies and Web Bugs in the main browsers
It is usually possible to stop accepting browser Cookies, or to stop accepting Cookies from a particular Service.
All modern browsers allow you to change your Cookie settings. These settings can usually be found in the options or Preferences menu of your browser. You can also configure your browser or email manager, as well as install free plug-ins to prevent Web Bugs from being downloaded when you open an email.
The ADRIER website offers guidance to the User on the steps to access the configuration menu for cookies and, where appropriate, private browsing in each of the main browsers:

For more information, you can consult Microsoft support or the browser’s Help.

d) What happens if you disable Cookies
Some functionalities of the Services will be disabled, such as, for example, remaining identified, keeping purchases in the shopping cart in an e-commerce Service, receiving information aimed at your location or viewing certain videos.
UPDATES AND CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY / COOKIES POLICY
The ADRIER website may modify this Cookies Policy in accordance with legislative or regulatory requirements, or in order to adapt said policy to the instructions issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency, for which reason Users are advised to visit it periodically.
When significant changes are made to this Cookies Policy, they will be communicated to Users either through the website or by e-mail to registered Users.
